Our initiatives: building a safer Gurnee together
At the Gurnee Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association (GurneeCPAAA), our dedicated volunteers work tirelessly to support the Gurnee Police Department and enhance our local community. We believe in fostering strong relationships between citizens and law enforcement, contributing to a safer and more vibrant Gurnee for everyone.
Empowering our police force
- Community Partnership: Fosters trust, cooperation, and open communication between residents and the police department.
- Volunteer Support: Assists the Gurnee Police Department with local community events as well special events for the police department.
- Continuing Education: We provide continuing education with various local agencies. Classes are an extension of the Citizen Police Academy.
Beyond direct police support, GurneeCPAAA members are deeply embedded in the fabric of Gurnee. Our volunteers dedicate countless hours to various community events, from police sponsored events,community events and our favorite Shop With A Cop. This active participation strengthens community bonds, promotes civic responsibility while supporting our dedicated officers and police department.
We believe that an informed citizenry is a strong citizenry. GurneeCPAAA encourages continuous civic growth among its members and the wider community through educational sessions and presentations. These programs cover crucial topics in law enforcement, local community issues, and highlight opportunities for service, empowering individuals to make a difference.
