Interested in joining the Gurnee Citizen Police Academy ?
Twice a year, spring and fall, the Gurnee Police Deparment holds an 11 week CPA class at the Gurnee Police Department.
The class is a behind-the-scenes look at:
- How policing really works
- What officers do every day
- How we serve our community
All graduates of the class are given the opportunity to join the Citizen Police Academy Alumni member group. All members must be a graduate of the CPA class.
Keep an eye out on the Gurnee Police Department Facebook page for upcoming class registration. Classes fill up fast !
Quarterly Meetings
GurneeCPAAA holds meetings every quarter, giving attendees the chance to learn more about the police department and discuss information about upcoming events. Every meeting includes a continuing education portion. Meetings are only open to current members.

Summer Events
This fundraiser is a collaborative effort between Gurnee Fraternal Order of Police Social Lodge #266 and the Lake County Children’s Advocacy Center (LCCAC). Proceeds benefit the LCCAC and other local charities.
An annual event for families. The Fire, Police and Public Works departments open up for the community, it is a free Open House event with activities for the whole family!
Gurnee Days is the place to be for some of your favorite traditions, such as delicious food, live music, parade, one of the best fireworks shows in Lake County, and so much MORE!
