Serving Gurnee, strengthening community

The Gurnee Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association (GurneeCPAAA) is a dedicated group of volunteers committed to supporting law enforcement and fostering strong community ties in Gurnee, Illinois. We believe in building trust and promoting a positive image of our local police department.

Our mission: community and support

As a volunteer-driven, non-profit organization, GurneeCPAAA focuses on community policing and supporting law enforcement. We conduct fundraising activities and volunteer at events to bridge the gap between residents and the Gurnee Police Department, ensuring ongoing education for our members about law enforcement practices.

Volunteering for a safer Gurnee

Our members actively volunteer for the Gurnee Police Department, contributing their time and efforts to various village events upon request. These activities benefit both the department by providing essential support and the community by enhancing police-resident relations and ensuring a visible, positive law enforcement presence.

Unique dedication, unified purpose

What makes GurneeCPAAA special? With around 60 active members, each having completed the Police Department's Citizen Police Academy, we bring a unique understanding and dedication to our volunteer work. This shared experience unites us in our goal to offer impactful support to the Police Department and the Gurnee community.

"The GurneeCPAAA truly embodies community spirit, fostering invaluable trust and understanding between residents and our dedicated police force. Their commitment makes Gurnee a better place."
